This will be an interesting thread that will cover a wide variety of health issues. I will include subjects like GM foods, the dangers of fish oils, organic v’s conventional foods, the death rates attributed to the medical profession, the danger of clothing sold today, EMF wave dangers etc. I will try to present good peer reviewed studies to give this section credibility.

2 raw vegan diet studies

Antioxidant status in long-term adherents to a strict uncooked vegan diet

Rauma AL, Törrönen R et al

The calculated dietary antioxidant intakes by the vegans, expressed as percentages of the US recommended dietary allowances, were as follows: 305% of vitamin C, 247% of vitamin A, 313% of vitamin E, 92% of zinc, 120% of copper, and 49% of selenium

Beta carotene is poorly absorbed in the raw food diet. The raw food vegans had a much higher intake of beta carotene in the diet, yet they still had the lowest blood levels of this nutrient. It just shows we need to eat selenium and zinc rich foods such as the sprouted seeds etc. One of the best ways to maximize  beta carotene absorption is to have algaes just before the sprouted seeds, that can always be a potent way to add it into the diet with maximize effect. Juicing is always good, but absorption may be limited due to it having no fats to enhance absorption. Salads full sprouts  high in beta carotene may be good when had with nuts/seeds, but that can be time consuming, and that is why l recommend using some hydrilla, chlorella, spirulina etc, because  they add various nutrients in valuable amounts that can be combined in such a way as to give the raw vegan diet a boost so the diet is in better balance. Better balance may be higher zinc, it also may be  a higher beta carotene level which is more bioavailable when had with oil seeds/nuts. The algaes serve many important functions in humans, but the purpose of this post is to show that they can be used conveniently to increase beta carotene in the diet.

Plasma beta-carotene is not a suitable biomarker of fruit and vegetable intake in german subjects with a long-term high consumption of fruits and vegetables

Garcia AL, Mohan R et al

Comparable dietary beta-carotene intake resulted in lower multivariate adjusted plasma beta-carotene in women adhering to a raw food diet and average Western diet compared to those on wholesome nutrition. The amount of fruit and vegetable intake did not predict plasma beta-carotene levels in women consuming a raw food diet

Organic v's conventional foods

Higher antioxidant and lower cadmium concentrations and lower incidence of pesticide residues in organically grown crops: a systematic literature review and meta-analyses

Marcin Baran´ski, Dominika S´rednicka-Tober et al

Demand for organic foods is partially driven by consumers’ perceptions that they are more nutritious. However, scientific opinion is divided on whether there are significant nutritional differences between organic and non-organic foods, and two recent reviews have concluded that there are no differences. In the present study, we carried out meta-analyses based on 343 peer-reviewed publications that indicate statistically significant and meaningful differences in composition between organic and non-organic crops/crop-based foods. Most importantly, the concentrations of a range of antioxidants such as polyphenolics were found to be substantially higher in organic crops/crop-based foods, with those of phenolic acids, flavanones, stilbenes, flavones, flavonols and anthocyanins being an estimated 19 (95% CI 5, 33) %, 69 (95% CI 13, 125) %, 28 (95% CI 12, 44) %, 26 (95% CI 3, 48) %, 50 (95% CI 28, 72)% and 51 (95% CI 17, 86)% higher, respectively. Many of these compounds have previously been linked to a reduced risk of chronic diseases, including CVD and neurodegenerative diseases and certain cancers, in dietary intervention and epidemiological studies. Additionally, the frequency of occurrence of pesticide residues was found to be four times higher in conventional crops, which also contained significantly higher concentrations of the toxic metal Cd. Significant differences were also detected for some other (e.g. minerals and vitamins) compounds. There is evidence that higher antioxidant concentrations and lower Cd concentrations are linked to specific agronomic practices (e.g. non-use of mineral Nand P fertilisers, respectively) prescribed in organic farming systems. In conclusion, organic crops, on average, have higher concentrations of antioxidants, lower concentrations of Cd and a lower incidence of pesticide residues than the non-organic comparators across regions and production seasons.

This meta analysis is of profound importance because the peer reviewed literature now has  shown in thousands of cases that these phytochemical anti oxidants protect DNA and various mechanisms of the body against oxidative stress which is now considered one of the major causes of dozens of different diseases. These phytochemical antioxidants protect against diseases, fight diseases and enhance bodily functioning. The roles that these substances play in helping the body are far too numerous to mention here, but rest assured, these substances are nothing short of a miracle in the role they play in the body. Some of the phytochemical antioxidants have a much stronger and lasting effect than vitamins. These substances are the greatest nutritional discover ever made and there are thousands of phytochemicals now discovered in foods.

I will continue to add in various studies of organic v’s convention over time.

Questioning vaccines

There is no evidence vaccines work because there have been no long term double blind placebo controlled studies conducted on large numbers of people.  There are also studies which show highly vaccinated populations can still get outbreaks of viruses as shown in the mumps studies posted below, and this tells us that the science is not as sound as the drug companies and governments and doctors claim it to be.  Besides, even if the drug company claims is true that vaccines helps reduce chances of viruses and disease (a very questionable claim), who is to say that eating a good diet, living in more hygienic conditions and having a good immune system won’t help fight against these viruses? No proper testing has been done, but we are expected to believe the science that the medical and drug companies put out to the public.

There are lots of websites which talk about the problems associated with vaccines, but unfortunately there are very few credible sources to back up these strong claims against vaccinations. Personally l am strongly against vaccinations because l don’t see injections of foreign substances as being part of a healthy lifestyle, especially without double blind placebo controlled long term studies done on large populations to prove such radical ideas, but l do present some of the most solid science available which puts some question over vaccines. Unfortunately the science which questions vaccines is few and far between.

Mumps outbreak in a highly vaccinated population

Hersh BS, Fine PE et al

From October 1988 to April 1989, a large mumps outbreak occurred in Douglas County, Kansas. Of the 269 cases, 208 (77.3%) occurred among primary and secondary school students, of whom 203 (97.6%) had documentation of mumps vaccination

Mumps Outbreaks in Vaccinated Populations: Are Available Mumps Vaccines Effective Enough to Prevent Outbreaks?

Gustavo H. Dayan, Steven Rubin et al

Increased reports of mumps in vaccinated populations prompted a review of the performance of mumps vaccines. There was evidence of waning immunity, which is a likely factor in mumps outbreaks, aggravated by possible antigenic differences between the vaccine strain and outbreak strains.

some outbreaks could not be prevented, despite high vaccination coverage with 2 doses of the Jeryl Lynn vaccine strain

13 outbreaks occurred among populations vaccinated only with the Jeryl Lynn strain (table 1); 14 outbreaks occurred among populations vaccinated with multiple strains, including Jeryl Lynn, Urabe, Rubini, Toitsukabu, and Torii (table 2); and 21 outbreaks occurred among populations vaccinated with a vaccine strain that could not be identified

Although some studies did not find an association between time since vaccination and increased risk of disease, other studies conducted in the United States found persons vaccinated >5 years before the outbreak to be at higher risk of developing disease than persons vaccinated ⩽5 years before the outbreak, suggestive of waning immunity.

Thimerosal (a mercury-containing preservative in vaccines)

The drug companies admit they use thimerosal in vaccines, and from reading the extracts below it looks like they have admitted using higher amounts of this mercury containing substance than necessary when they said the Public Health Service agencies, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and vaccine manufacturers agreed that thimerosal should be reduced or eliminated in vaccines as a precautionary measure”. So much for being a Public Health Service agency when they allowed higher than needed amounts of this mercury substance to be used on populations for many decades. These people obviously can’t be trusted to treat the health of the public, so we must take our own health into our hands and insist on proper long term studies done on vaccinations before we say yes to these questionable and dubious things.

I also like (NOT)  how they use the word “routinely” in the text below.

Since 2001, with the exception of some influenza (flu) vaccines, thimerosal is not used as a preservative in routinely recommended childhood vaccines.

Thimerosal is a mercury-containing preservative used in some vaccines and other products since the 1930's. There is no convincing evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines, except for minor reactions like redness and swelling at the injection site. However, in July 1999, the Public Health Service agencies, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and vaccine manufacturers agreed that thimerosal should be reduced or eliminated in vaccines as a precautionary measure.

The mainstream medical profession – a major contributor to death

The mainstream medical profession plays an important role in societies in terms of healing broken bones, monitoring people and giving various treatments in crisis situations, however people have surrendered their personal health responsibility to the medical profession instead of taking their health care into their own hands. People now are in a pill fixes all mentality and they pursue medical treatments which treat the symptoms instead of persuing a lifestyle which prevents or treats the causes of disease.

People go through the doctor’s office like animals on a conveyor belt…they are just a number in the system. They get 5 – 10 minutes with the doctor and then get booted out of the office so the doctor can see the next patient. Many doctors don’t even insist on a general checkup these days because their time is limited due to the number of patients they see each day. They usually don’t give health advice, they usually prefer to give you a pill, and there general response to many health complaints is “it is just a virus”. Very few will ever recommend diet and exercise for prevention of sickness.  I could go on and on, but l think people are now starting to understanding how the medical system largely does not take care of our health and that’s why people are now seeking alternative doctors in record numbers.

Medical profession is the third leading cause of death in America

Lets get to some studies which shed light on the dangers of putting your health in the hands of the medical profession. And yes, the medical profession admits it is one of the leading causes of death in this prestigious peer reviewed medical journal called JAMA.

Is U.S health really the best in the world?

Barbara Starfield M.D - July 26, 2000 Vol 284 No.4  pp 483 - 485

http://silver.neep.wisc.edu/~lakes/iatrogenic.pdf  (full article)

http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=192908  (JAMA site)

A quote from one of the most prestigious peer reviewed medical journals in the world (Journal of the American Medical Association - JAMA)

"225,000 deaths per year constitutes the third leading cause of death in the United States, after deaths from heart disease and cancer"

The findings by Barbara Starfield, MD, of Johns Hopkins School of Public Health,

12,000 deaths from unnecessary surgeries;

 7,000 deaths from medication errors in hospitals;

 20,000 deaths from other errors in hospitals;

 80,000 deaths from infections acquired in hospitals;

106,000 deaths from FDA-approved correctly prescribed medicines

Drugs being recalled due to safety issues

Even more discouraging is how quickly the greedy BIG pharma companies seem to rush drugs into the market place without doing proper testing. Notice how quickly some of these drugs are withdrawn from the market, this tells me that they are not properly testing these drugs before putting them out into the marketplace. It seems like humans are being used as guinea pigs.  It does not make the drug companies look credible at all, and it certainly looks like profit is their first priority and human health is of secondary importance.

Chemotherapy and radiation causes cancer

Secondary cancers caused by cancer treatment (American Cancer Society)

Chemo also can cause brain damage. It's time to wake up and take health care in your own hands.

Murder in the hospitals?

Something which really bothers me is all the people who are heavily drugged up before their deaths in hospital. Three out of my four grand parents were heavily drugged up just before they died. It seems strange that the hospital would call the family in hours before they died, it was like they knew almost the exact time my loved ones were going to die. Are countless numbers of people being murdered by  drug overdoses given to them by nurses under doctor’s orders? If so, why are the medical profession playing the role of murder? An even more important question is how it effects the pineal gland function when the soul passes over to the astral worlds, do the drugs cause complications?

If the hospitals are murdering patients then the death figures contributed to the medical profession would be much higher than reported, and indeed various people have reported that the death figures are MUCH higher than reported.

There are many questions that come to mind, but the point is, we MUST take our health care into our own hands and try to avoid any medical treatment and hospitalization.

Cancer, oxygen and raw food myths

The cancer cannot survive in oxygen rich environments myth

We often hear that cancer cannot survive in oxygen rich environments, but this is not true. I will post a few studies which clearly exposes this myth as time goes on. Here is one such study which demonstrates that this old belief is not accurate.

Relationship between Oxygen and Glucose Consumption by Transplanted Tumors in Vivo

Pietro M. Gullino, Flora H. Grantham

The weight-doubling times of the tumors were independent of oxygen consumption and lactate production. The tumors needed oxygen to survive

And if you think cancer can't thrive in an alkaline environment, you better think that one again too. I'll find the study for that another day...got some beauties saved up on that subject.

Plant foods are not always effective on some cancers, it must be about a lifestyle choice and not just about food

We think that a raw vegan diet is guaranteed to kill cancer each time, but the following study shows that the raw plant diet may not be as effective on some cancers as we would like to think. The major problem with this study below is that we don't know if the fruit and veggies are raw, none-the-less, certain cancers respond better than others to vegan foods.

Vegetable and fruit consumption and cancer risk

Eva Negri, Carlo La Vecchia

The lower the location of the tumour in the digestive tract, the weaker appeared to be the protection afforded. Significant inverse relationships were observed for liver, pancreas, prostate and urinary sites, but not for rectum, breast and female genital cancers or thyroid. No relationship emerged for lymphomas and myelomas.

Vegetables, fruit, and cancer. I. Epidemiology

Steinmetz KA, Potter JD.

It is concluded that consumption of higher levels of vegetables and fruit is associated consistently, although not universally, with a reduced risk of cancer at most sites. The association is most marked for epithelial cancers--particularly those of the alimentary and respiratory tracts--and, currently, is weak to nonexistent for hormone-related cancers. The association exists for a wide variety of vegetables and fruit with some suggestion that raw forms are associated most consistently with lower risk.

Fruit and vegetable intake and risk of major chronic disease

Hung HC, Joshipura KJ et al

Total fruit and vegetable intake was inversely associated with risk of cardiovascular disease but not with overall cancer incidence. Of the food groups analyzed, green leafy vegetable intake showed the strongest inverse association with major chronic disease and cardiovascular disease.

Increased fruit and vegetable consumption was associated with a modest although not statistically significant reduction in the development of major chronic disease. The benefits appeared to be primarily for cardiovascular disease and not for cancer.

Should we eat a wide variety diet for good health?

We get told by some `so called’ raw food diet experts to eat from a small range of foods and eat the same thing over and over again, but is this such a good idea? We live in a toxic world with constant assaults on our DNA so we want a wide variety of nutrients which offer protection and allow the body to sustain well.

Dietary botanical diversity affects the reduction of oxidative biomarkers in women due to high vegetable and fruit intake

Thompson HJ

These findings indicate that botanical diversity plays a role in determining the bioactivity of high-VF diets and that smaller amounts of many phytochemicals may have greater beneficial effects than larger amounts of fewer phytochemicals.

Can inorganic minerals be absorbed? Yes they can

Despite many raw food leaders saying that inorganic minerals cannot absorbed, we now know this is not true. Some inorganic minerals are absorbed by the body, probably because we have intestinal bacteria which would help. Here is a 1990 study which proves this. Note, magnesium oxide is inorganic and magnesium citrate is organic.

Magnesium bioavailability from magnesium citrate and magnesium oxide.

Lindberg JS, Zobitz MM et al

We here many stories about people becoming stiff due to inorganic minerals, and this may be true, so l think the key is to not overdo the hard waters and supplements with inorganic minerals and to cleanse the body regularly with green juices.

Drug company executives bribing governments?

These videos are really eye opening. In this video series it is claimed that a former Eli Lilly executive admits to bribing governments to get drugs on the market. Well worth a listen.

EMF waves - smart meters - WIFI

A full article will be done on how to protect ourselves from these dangerous frequency waves will be done in time.

Check out this protective shield covering the wifi so the waves are blocked from causing damage. Two layers of aluminium foil are placed between wire to act as double strength protection. Our testing shows that one layer of foil blocks about 75% radiation, but two layers blocks most EMFs.
